How can these services help you?
-
Developmental editing is all about the quality of your story. Is it cohesive? Is there a strong plot line? Are the characters growing throughout? Does it make sense? Where does this fit in the market?
My job as your editor is to give you the tools and confidence to strengthen your plot line, create an immersive world for readers, and get your characters where they need to be by the end of the book.
With my knowledge and professional training, I can help identify tropes and trends your book may or may not need to make it in this market.
-
After the initial edit is done and I have delivered you the editorial letter and annotated manuscript, most services stop there. But sometimes you need a little more.
When you start your submission journey, you will want your book to be at its absolute best before it hits the publisher’s inbox. A DE can absolutely get you there! But, if you’re an author who needs a cheerleader or someone to hold you accountable to edits and deadlines, my book coaching services may be a good fit for you.
-
Sometimes people just need a little more support to make their dreams come true. I offer my services for that reason. If you are looking for an editor, not only have you found one, but you have also found your advocate as well.
I will always have the best intentions for your book. I edit with the knowledge that this is your story, not mine, and I give suggestions, praise, and feedback based on that sentiment.
On a budget? No problem!
I will always do my best to work within a writers budget. This world is absolutely crazy! We creatives have to stick together. And with that, all I ask is that you also work with me and be candid about what you can and can’t do. I want to create a safe space for you to discuss financial matters.
Want to know if I’m the editor for you?
Request a free sample edit from me!
To do this, head to my contact page and let me know what you’re working on. For sample edits, I will ask that you send me 20 pages of a specific section you are having trouble with so that I can get a good idea of what I would be working with. This also allows us to talk about the state of your manuscript and discuss which service is right for you. Turn around time for these will be two days.
